I wasn't thrilled with the slice I submitted but the piece really works well together. I love how my panda turns into the a starburst or fireworks? fireworks would keep the asian theme so we'll say they're fireworks

I'm really happy with how this turned out! Mudhooks, you left me such a combination of fine detail and texture that I was really worried at first. And then I wasn't sure if I was going to be effing things up by limiting the magenta field and adding new background colors (the yellow is a closeup of bacteria in a Yellowstone thermal pool). But I think it all worked. Kudos everyone.

I find lots of texture is better than no texture because at least it gives you something to work with. I always find myself a bit stumped when presented with flat colour.

The background, BTW looks like a Damask fabric but is, in fact, a fractal that I created a few years ago and fiddled with with my photo program.

Copse 2 or 3 depending on how were counting but it's # is 1?

Yay. A new one, this place still has life. I really like this one and the black and white pattern of the Kimono is transitioned beautifully. The image also has a depth due to the fine layering that even crosses seems without interruption or flattening out. This peace isn't just a nice coincidence like some but craftsmanship as well. Nice job everyone.

I absolutely LOVE the way the pattern on the geisha's kimono in the first segment ends up going throughout the whole piece so organically.

And hooray for ladybirds!
I can't think of what to put here, so just imagine that the wittiest thing possible is in this little text area.
